cutting teeth

little guy has his first little tooth cutting through his little gum. his bottom-left front tooth is breaking through. it seems to be real ouchy - and he won't let me get a picture. I'm sure I'll be able to when it's not as sensitive.

last week Sunday it was way warm and beautiful. this past weekend was cold, rainy and windy. this morning we woke up to snow. ugh. well little guy wore his stocking hat he got from his great aunt Arlene.

tests are over

the trip to the hospital yesterday wasn't very pleasant. we got there and 3 phlebotomists looked at the little guy to find a place to draw blood from. they stuck him once and dug around for a while and gave up. little guy did SO good. he only whined a little bit.

we had to get to the ultrasound place about a half hour east of the hospital, he did really well there too. I was so proud of him.

so, we went back to the hospital this morning. I was prepared for it to be tough again. BUT we had an angel named Mary. she felt around a little and stuck in the needle, got the amount she needed, and that was it. I planned the morning so he'd want a bottle while we were there, so he was just sucking away, watching everything and didn't make a peep!

we're on our way to the hospital to have blood drawn for a hormone evaluation then we're heading into the city to have an ultrasound done to see what the next step is in treatment of the little guy's mammary duct ectasia.

dreams...

I have very vivid - very odd dreams. last night I dreamt that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon wanted me in the delivery room when their twins were born. so I got to hold the babies. ahhh. the nocturnal life I lead!

it's onesie weather!

it's a sunny 77 degrees today! we installed the big kid carseat, and opened up the windows when we got home home from church and errands.

he gets pretty sqwauky and mad when he gets stuck. he also has a shrill frustrated shriek, luckily that's not on camera.

I set him in his crib so I could finish getting ready this morning. he was talking to me a little bit and had to roll around - his favorite thing!

last night I was getting his bedtime bottle ready and I was just getting him settled when he grabbed the bottle from me and started drinking away! I couldn't believe it. he fell asleep so I put him in his crib, but he woke up and started whining his "I'm still hungry - I can't believe you laid me down" whine. so I gave him his bottle in his crib and he held it for himself.
