our 8 pound 2 ounce 21 inch bundle of joy joined us after an easy induction and delivery. she is such a sweet little thing!

4th birthday

we had a construction themed party at the local bowling alley. mr man had been wanting dump trucks and diggers on his cake since his 3rd birthday. the cake didn't disappoint!

it was drizzling when we were walking out to the car this morning.
jr: HEY! who's dripping water on me?
me: God is watering the grass and the flowers.
jr: can i tell my friends that Jesus was sprinkling water on me?

jr: (referring to the George Foreman) momma? what kind of chicken are you making?
me: just chicken.
jr: is it rotten?
me: no, it's not rotten.
jr: good! I don't eat rotten chicken.

me: where's the ocean?
jr: it lives right next to the sun.

family update

we found out in february that we will have a new member of our family come november 5th(ish). we are quite excited and ready for this next chapter!

shedd

we went to the shedd aquarium a few weeks ago with friends of ours. it was a delightful day and we got to see all kinds of things!
