beary christmas!

cereal

he's been sleeping through the night for a little over 2 weeks now. but saturday and tonight he's needed a snack around now. he must be going through the 3 mo growth spurt.

I can't wait to add cereal in a month! it's going to be glorious!

right in the middle

the little guy is growing like crazy. he's rolling over, creeping, and now it seems like everyday another cute little outfit needs to be retired to wait to see another baby. 3-6 mo stuff fits great and 6 mo stuff is just a little roomy.
on Saturday I put a cute little reindeer snappy sleeper on him and he stretched out his legs and POP POP POP a bunch of the snaps unsnapped!

a sleeping baby makes for a happy mommy. I guess he does so good at daycare that a number of parents would like to take him home with them. but we're the lucky ones. God gives you what you can handle and he surely gave us an angel to look after.

winter

I woke up to sound of snowplows. winter has officially begun. I'm so glad the locksmith was able to come out to the house yesterday to get the garage door lock fixed. it would have been pretty hard to shovel without the shovel!

I went upstairs to pump and take care of some laundry - this is what I came back downstairs to. a wrapping paper roll that I had used a few weeks ago and put away yet. at least it wasn't presents under the tree or something.

the little guy's teacher at daycare thinks he looks like Charlie Brown. I must confess - I agree. here's a comparison:

i think he'll definitely be keeping these; he comes by it honestly - it'll be interesting to see what hue they finally end up.

happy turkey day!

he didn't get to eat any turkey this year, but got to wear his "i'm stuffed" thanksgiving outfit with 2 new bibs. i was able to capture a few good smiles...but he kept smiling as soon as the flash went off so we're going to have to work on that timing!

yesterday we dropped the baby off at mr c's folks' house and we went on a grown-up date to the movies. we saw Harry Potter. I haven't missed one in the theatre yet - and I really wanted to see this one. but alas, I think my days of going to the midnight showings are long gone.
it was great! I'm super excited for the next one. its gonna be intense with all the rest of the story they have to cover still.

we met with julie miller of la memoire photography today and picked up the little guy's newborn photo shoot. here's a sampling - enjoy!

checkup stats

the lil guy weighed in at 13 pounds 4 ounces and measured 24 inches long. he's doing great - a very healthy little boy. he did not tolerate the shots very well. he screamed and cried. took a little while to calm down. he's sleeping it off now. here's when we first put him in his carseat.

he studies everything. we were at burger king and he was fascinated with the window cling advertising.

zoomies

this is how they are all the time. can you believe that they've even mellowed out a bit?!

mom! help!

first hazel's barking at the bone in the toy bin that she finally dug out later that afternoon. but she hits the swing seat with her body on accident so it started swinging. she didn't appreciate the "ghost" in the swing and had to come up to make sure I had the baby. what a crazy dog.
