tonight, he discovered that he can climb up onto the side table that used to be the barrier to keep him from pulling down all of the DVDs.

first entrelac knitting project

this is a blankie I'm working on for my baby cousin Gavin. there are 5 colors that repeat I think 4 times. it'll be approx 32"x36" and super cute!

trial and error

he's discovered that the foamy things stick to the sides of the tub, but that other toys just slide right back into the water.

we used a celery stamp for the rose.

Happy Valentine's Day

it was valentine color day at jr's new daycare - so he sported this graphic tee. I was lucky enough to get some fun pictures of him before I took him to school. and I have a fun new app that allows you to make photo collages.

daddy picked these roses out for me at the store. 1 dozen roses for $8. that's smart shopping!

boogie down

august got this lettersaurus from his godparents, and loves the music setting. he pushes the buttons til he finds the song he wants. sometimes he just walks around hugging it and swaying.

Climbing

this kid does not stop moving. If he does, its to eat, drink or poop.

Making Noises

I was able to get a collection of his animal noises.

I need to work on getting more videos of him talking. that's my mom homework.

Big Game dinner

yummy!
we made chili con carne with cheddar buttermilk biscuits. they called for cornmeal - I didn't have any, so I substituted with some whole wheat flour and wheat germ. again - yummy! now for more commercials!

cars

August got a ton of awesome presents for Christmas. I have to share this set of cars that my dad made for him. he makes car noises when he drives them around. he especially likes for them to drive up the wall.

right idea

wrong animal. when August plays with the zebra - the zebra says "moo".

the golden staircase

that's what my grandma used to say when it was time for bed - time to climb the golden staircase.

when it's time for us to upstairs, August heads over to the gate and waits. we let him through then he points at the light switch to turn the light on. then he goes and looks through the banister rails and waves goodnight to the doggies.

of course i have to include a quick little video because he's so cute :)
