here's some of my favorite pictures from our maternity photo shoot. it was taken at 34 weeks 5 days. julie dropped off the disc of finals when she came over to do the little guy's newborn photo shoot.

on the road

my mom, the little guy and i took a trip to nebraska/iowa to celebrate my grandpa's 95th birthday!
little did i know how hard the nights were going to be. he wasn't comfy in the collapsible travel bassinet or the hotel pack n play - in fact he was downright MAD at them. we managed to have him pretty normalized by just putting him in his carseat - but we learned that lesson pretty late in the game.
oct 14: we drove a little over half way and stayed the night at a hotel.
oct 15: we visited aunt arlene - with a little help she got to hold the little guy.oct 16: the birthday party took place. what a special thing to be able to get some four generation pictures taken.
oct 17: we drove to uncle glen's house and had dinner with him and his friend judy. the little guy got to meet heidi, my uncle's rottweiler. she gave him kisses and did her own thing. one of my uncle's buddies dropped off a "kitty" aka raccoon for heidi to play with. Heidi also likes to play with rocks.

oct 18: we drove home. and i got to spend a little time with mr. c on our anniversary. i think we'll actually celebrate another time.

virginia visitors

mr. c's aunt and uncle came to visit from virginia last week.

oct 10: we all watched the redskins defeat the packers at our house.
oct 11: while mr. c was at work, the rest of us went to the outlet mall to take advantage of the columbus day sales. i found a lot of stuff - but did pick up some things that i'll be heading back to return. good thing the little guy is a great shopping buddy! then we went to dinner at bonefish grill.
oct 12: just hung out at grandma and grandpa c's house. when mr c got done with work he came and we took pictures in the backyard.

went to the dentist today for a cleaning and x-rays.

after 26 years I can proudly say that I'm still cavity free!!

doctor

we just got back from a trip to Nebraska and Iowa. my grandpa turned 95 yesterday and we had a party for him on Saturday. I'll be posting pictures from the trip tomorrow once my laptop is charged.

last week I started noticing some weird things with the little guy and I. I wanted to give it a few days before running to the dr since nothing was horribly wrong. we went to the doctor today and found out that we have a mild case of thrush. so I went and picked up the prescription to get rid of it. now I have to boil everything - all of the pump parts, the bottles, the pacifiers - everything.

at 5 weeks today - the little guy weighed in at 10lb 6oz (57th%), 22.75in long (78th%) and 38cm head circumference. over all he's doing great and happens to be quite the cutie.

Happy 1st Birthday to Ginger!

October = busy

I can't believe that it's October. I also can't believe everything that's going on this month.

Saturday Louie, Linnea & Louis are coming up for the day - I'm crossing my fingers for good weather cuz it'd be way fun to go to the zoo.

Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday Mr C's aunt & uncle are visiting from Virginia.

the 14th - 18th the baby and my mom and I are going to Nebraska to visit family and celebrate my Grandpa's 95th birthday.

the 18th also happens to be our 2nd wedding anniversary - my how time flies.

then there's Halloween. there is a party at work that I'll take the baby along to.

a great thing about the visitors is not only getting to see everyone, but we are forced to clean the house.
