wondering if junior is already transitioning to 1 nap a day? junior took an hour and a half nap this afternoon. then passed out while eating his dinner around 7:30 and has been knocked out since. wonder when he's gonna wake me up in the morning?

junior had his 12 month check up this afternoon. it took forever - I didn't get home in time to go to bootcamp at 6, his appt was at 3:15!
anyway, he's doing just fine. we can start cows milk. since he currently doesn't want anything to do with meat, we got some good suggestions to make sure he's getting enough protein (tofu, beans, etc).
he was having a blast playing with the toys and books.

my big little guy isn't so little anymore. his intake sheet from daycare (where they keep track of diapers, intake of liquids and solids, naps and mood) used to say "infant room". his sheet that came home with him last night was titled "ms. tara's toddlers". sigh.

we've got morning glories on a trellis on the side of our house. every year they come back there are more and more colors.
this year, blue ones boomed! some blue ones even have pink and purple stripes. you can see the top purple one has pink stripes.

today we celebrated our pastor's 20th year anniversary at our church today. he loves Handel's Messiah, so along with the senior choir and strings doing the propers for the day, the organist asked if I'd be willing to sing a surprise sing for him during the offering. so we prepared the soprano aria "how blessed are the feet of them", only we went down 1 1/2 steps to be a little comfy for my mezzo self. here's a recording to listen to.

junior had his first mcnuggets this week. I cut them with the vidalia onion chopper. he also had apple wedges cut into cubes. he seemed to enjoy this quick treat.
